Certified Nurse Practitioner
Diane Masciangelo, MS, BSN, ACNP-BC, CNRN is an experienced acute care neurology nurse practitioner. She works closely with Multiple Sclerosis and spasticity neurologists Dr. Boster and Dr. Nicholas to provide treatment and comprehensive care for all types of MS. Her career in neuroscience nursing began at Riverside Methodist Hospital in 1987. Diane has cared for neuroscience patients in a variety of roles, including Neuroscience Critical Care Unit staff nurse, Neurosurgical Perioperative Nurse and Interventional Radiology Office Nurse, and Neuroscience Clinical Educator. She became a certified neuroscience nurse in 1992. Prior to joining the OhioHealth MS Center Multidisciplinary Team, she was caring for inpatients on the Neurology Service at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Diane graduated from a Diploma School of Nursing in 1986, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capital University in 2007 and Master of Science from Wright State University in 2011. Over the course of her career she has continued to earn certifications and awards including the Showcase of Nursing Excellence Award, Ann Maddox RN Teaching Award, American Association of Neuroscience Nurses Excellence in Neuroscience Education Award. She is member of the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses, Central Ohio Chapter of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, Council for Ohio Health Care Advocacy and Ohio Association of Advance Practice Nurses.
Diane believes the patient is at the center of all that we do. She enjoys establishing relationships with her patients and their families through longitudinal follow up. Diane provides education regarding Multiple Sclerosis, disease modifying therapy, as well as relapse and symptom management and encourages her patients to be in charge of their individualized plan of care.
