Chris S. Karas, MD, ABNS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurosurgeon, specializing in minimally invasive spine and cranial surgery. He completed his medical training, residency program and fellowship in endovascular neurosurgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Prior to joining OhioHealth Neurological Physicians, formerly Columbus Neurology & Neurosurgery, Dr. Karas was a neurosurgeon and medical director at Mercy Brain and Spine Center in Des Moines, Iowa (a comprehensive brain and spine center at a Level 2 trauma center).
His other areas of special interest include tumors of the brain and spine, peripheral nerve decompression, hydrocephalus and Chiari malformations, pituitary tumors and neurologic sports injuries and concussions.
Dr. Karas lives in Upper Arlington with his wife and four children.
